【Industry Focus】Equipment Spending Hits New High as PFAS Rules Tighten – Momentum Builds for Ultra-Pure PFA Components
04/23
2025
On April 9 (SEMI Equipment Market Data report), global semiconductor equipment billings reached USD 11.7 billion in 2024, a 7 % YoY increase, with further growth projected for 2025. This sustained cap-ex cycle is set to lift demand for ultra-pure PFA tubing, valves, and fittings used in wet-process chemical delivery systems.
In parallel, the EU’s April REACH update advanced the proposal to restrict PFAS chemicals, narrowing exemptions for electronics and urging manufacturers to adopt safer fluoropolymer alternatives. Fabs and tool makers are therefore accelerating qualification of low-leach PFA components to secure future compliance.
Our team has already supplied customized PFA valves, tubing, and fittings to several Southeast-Asian equipment manufacturers, enabling them to expand capacity while meeting forthcoming environmental requirements.
